Pat's Surgery Date

Hi, Pat's followers!

Time to get things up and going. We finally have a planned surgery date for Pat. We will be going out to the NIH around June 10, with surgery planned for June 15. Pat's mom will be coming along as well. I will likely be at the Bethesda Court Hotel during this stay.

After a few false starts, this looks to be a pretty sure time for surgery. Pat is really working to get in shape for surgery, so everything will go well.

Send replies and comments, as every one gets read to Pat (by yours truly) when she is in the hospital. We know many thoughts and prayers follow her through her journey!

Dear Blog Followers

Pat and I had expected to be sending this blog from the NIH just before Pat's surgery this coming week. But the doctors at the NIH (oh, those doctors!) reviewed some test results and want to postpone the surgery until some time in June. As of this post, we do not know the new planned date of surgery, but it will likely be mid-June.

We are, to be sure, disappointed as we had everything in readiness to go, but the reasons for postponing the surgery are good reasons, and meant to have Pat in the best of shape for it. Considering the last surgery, we want Pat to be fully ready to go, ready for surgery, ready to heal, and ready to give the doctors 'what for' if necessary.

Ah, goodness.
